My baby Rayze is 20 months now and he is healing well from the surgery.. thank god today after the checkup, for the first time we can see that his kidney size which was swollen prior to surgery is now at normal size.
Before op his kidney size was 4 inches, now the kidney is at 1 inch size which is normal size for kid his age. I am so elated that my baby is going to be fine and the 2 surgery scars painful memory worth it.. although the scars are still obvious.
I cannot forget the 6 hours surgery he had and difficulty in the middle of the operation.. but finally my baby is ok and can be like any other normal kid.
For all my friends who offered the prayers for my child ,.. I sincerely thank you all for the good wishes and prayers.. I wish you all will receive equal or better reward and returns in the future.
So, finally my son went to do the surgery to remove the 3rd kidney. It was so tension and so terribly scare and fear if surgery will be successful. It took 6 hours to perform the operation and it is not really a smooth journey. During the surgery, it was found that they were not able to locate the 3rd kidney, physically there only 2 kidneys and in the scan it was showing 3 kidneys. And we need to decide the best next option.
I was become more complicated as if we are not going to take out the kidney that is not functioning well what should we do? The surgeon said, we have to keep it and make sure that it’s function although lower, but we need to make sure the ureter need to be fixed for this case as it is planted on a location not on top of the bladder.
The right position of the ureter to attach to bladder is on top not at the lower bottom. Thus the surgery went to relocate the ureter and implant it on the top of the bladder. It was a success but the whole thing had so many unexpected outcome.
But we are very happy to see my kid running and playing happily. Though we still need to monitor and check the condition of the left kidney, but this is the best option and hopefully the function of the 3rd kidney slowly improve and for my son to live just like the normal kids do.
I would like to thank you to the surgeon who had done a marvelous job considering a change of scenario during the operation was always not an easy thing to tackle.

The day will come to eventually finish off what we thought was hydrophrenosis, it ended up that my son is having 3 kidneys. And the fact that 1 kidney does not function so we need to remove it.
The moment that scares us, because this month on the 21 of Dec 2011, my baby will undergo a surgery to remove the kidney that is not functioned. I pray and hope that everything will be fine.
I hope for those who come to visit this page to help me and offer prayers for my sweet cute baby. He is so pity, so a tender age need to go through operation.
When I reached home the other day, my second son was so elated that he was rushing to greet me. Unfortunate, he fall down on a pile of Lego toys . My wife was so furious that she scolded him while he was hurt.
My kids love Lego blocks and that’s why they played halfway at the walkway. And they left it while having dinner. Well, there you go my wife. My kid already hurt and he was scolded. Poor kid.
Yes, my baby Rayze, dady is working hard day in day out to save money for your surgery. Dady had accumulated about RM2000+ working from the internet to help you .. but that is not enough .. I still have a long way to go and you are 4 months into the surgery .. I hope I can make or I will be a burden of debts ..
I love you my baby rayze .. he is now learning how to walk .. he is late to learn walking already over 1 year old .. but he is just so scare to walk .. he rather crawl … my poor kid going to have a scar on his body … sigh…
